Hi!

I just bought GSX Pro for MSFS and I get the "couatl scripting engine hasn't started" error. If I try and start it manually, the debug window opens but nothing happens inside MSFS when I click on the GSX icon.

Your log doesn't show any errors, GSX started normally, your only issue is you are trying to use it with an airplane that is not already supported in GSX internally, and you haven't made a configuration for it.

Your error log shows you haven't got the latest file from your local Cloudflare node, so you need to use the OFFLINE installer linked at the top of the section. Install that one, and don't run the Live Updater after, this will get you all the correct files.

I'd stay start by reading the manual first, and it something is not clear, post a question with a proper subject, and we'll help you better understand how it works.

The window is still not on the toolbar at the top of the flight sim and cannot use gsx in any of the planes it just isn't there even though the coutal suggests it should be but the icon is not there

You mean you don't the the GSX menu icon in the Toolbar ? Then you must have an incomplete installation, see here:

Hi Umberto, I just installed the offline installer from the sticky topic - didnt touch the Live Update and restared windows. Now the error message is gone, but it doesnt pop the gsx window after I click on the Icon, nothing happens. The couatl is running in the taskbar. I attached the latest log file.

What might be the problem here?

Best,
Alex

The one indicated here:

You got a bad download (likely because severs overstressed) and you are basically missing half of the product...

Do I need to install the OFFLINE installer after I did all of the steps in that post? So: Uninstall, delete folder, install and then use the offline installer?

Only if you suspect your node might be outdated, which you can verify by doing another Live Update after the first one that followed the initial installation. If you see it tries to download some files over and over, and the same again if you do it again, then yes, you need to run the Offline installer as the last thing you do.

Okay, I will try that. Thank you.

One more thing: I dont have the AppData\Virtuali\PackagesCache. Inside the Virtuali folder is the following:

Airplanes
GSX
UpdateCache
Couatl.err
Coatl.ini
Coautl.log
Couatl_msfs.ini
cuatolAddons.ini
jetwanumber_preview.png
KeyMapping.ini
pushbacknodes_check.txt

Note: I also have GSX/GSX level 2 for P3Dv5 installed.
