Skidmarks, shining markings and fences
« on: January 24, 2010, 03:21:27 pm »
Hello all together!

As this is my first post in 2010: Happy new year!

Thanks FSDT for releasing PHNL.  At a first look into FS 2004 I've seen the following problems asking kindly for fixes:

1. There are no fences around the airport. Ca't imagine that's the the real situation even on this very relaxed islands.
2. The skidmarks of the 26R/L and 8L/R are off the centerline. Maybe an offest of the aerial photo below?
3. In addtion to the offset at runway 8L the runway-markings from the aerial photo below are shining through. The same effect we saw with KLAS initially?

Take care!

Bert

If you're landing with your nose wheel on the line, wouldn't your skid marks be off center?  ;)

Hi Bert  I did notice the no fences around the airport its not a big deal for me but don't know if it was just designed that way to save fps.

Hello Silverbird!

I really do not think that fences will have that impact on fps. There are a lot of examples out there they don't.

But in fact and beside Burce funny comment (...do you really land beside the centerlines, Bruce  ;D) the other issues are more relevant to fix to make this scenery more perfect as it is right now, aren't they?

Hope you will do that soon - take care!
