It's a problem related to how to handle errors like site not responding or timeouts while getting the fuel price from the EIA website. Run the Live Update now, it should handle better the cases where the site doesn't reply.

Ok, thanks.

I ran the LU a week ago for another reason - does it mean that the issue with the fuel price was fixed yesterday, after I made this post.

Thanks.

Since in my reply I said to run the Live Update "now", it means the problem was fixed just before I posted.

I landed at Heathrow at 13:22 UTC. Tried to refuel, got the error, shut the sim down, ran the live update, flew back to frankfurt, and now that i tried to refuel at frankfurt i got the same error even though i ran the live update

Might take some time for the update to be pushed out to the server nearest you depending on where you are.

Any chance about timings for the server update?

Could you please tell me the exact size in bytes of this file ?

Addon Manager\couatl\GSX\assistanceServices\__INIT__.PYE

This will tell me if you already got the update, or the problem is still there.

Then you have the latest version, I had a look at it, and I think to solve it completely, it requires an update for the Couatl.exe as well, which we cannot release right now, because it will likely require a full update of GSX to the next combined MSFS/P3D version, so I'm quite sure it will create a big mess if we released it now.

I've posted another update now, which disabled the online check for the Fuel price, setting a default value of 4.0$/gal, which would prevent the error until we'll release the next major update.

Ok - thanks.

Hence, do I have to re-run the LU again to get this update with "$4" fixed price OR  I have it already?

Thanks

Again, since I said "I posted another update NOW", with "now" really meaning "now", unless you ran the update AFTER my post then yes, you should run it again.
