I'd imagine no small airport will sell as well as a larger airport but hopefully the work isn't as bad (in terms of complexity and length of time) for them so it justifies the lower sales?

There's some overhead involved in releasing a scenery ( collecting documentations, setting up and coordinate the project, setup the ecommerce server, writing the installer, writing the manual, supporting users by email and replying to forum questions, and many other small things ) that is basically the same, regardless of the airport size.

The total workload might be 60% of a big airport, but sales right now have been more like 1/10th or even less so, it never worked for us.

Thanks for the info!

50% for those who purchased HNL in the first 30 days? What about those of us who waited 40 days? Shocked

They'll pay the regular price, just like those that waited 31 days...the announcement was posted here:

http://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php?topic=2631.0

the same day of the PHNL release so, there was full month to decide to wait or not.

I've lost track of planned release order.  I know it was posted that this package would be out perhaps before August, but you also have KDFW that looks nearly done.  Have you ever released two different products at the same time?

No, but it doesn't really matter in this case, because the Hawaii airports are made independently by other people (the same that brought you Geneva, KFLL and PHNL, btw...), which are unrelated to KDFW.

FSDreamteam,

Wow - where have you been all my life - for years I've wondered why no real effort (except Bill Melichar) was devoted to doing the Hawaiin Islands... I've always loved the idea of island hoppping down there... I am seriously looking forward to doing some local hops with the old Tin Mouse done in the Aloha Funbird colors...

I have yet to make my first purchase - but - I plan to start with PHNL...

Quick question - is our purchase good for FSX and FS9 or just one flavor Huh

Regards,
Scott

We have two different versions of the scenery, but the serial number is valid for both sims.

Thanks Umberto - you have a brand new customer...

Part of my decision to purchase here is also based on the high opinion you and your company has maintained on the various Flight Sim boards - so keep up the good work !!!

Scott

Hi Scott love your choice of livery!  Smiley Aloha Funbird colors is what I want to use for my first island hop.  Wink

Tonight I think I'll say a little prayer as I go to bed, hoping that the Hilo/Lihue package sells V-E-R-Y well and asking that a Kona/Kahului package will be the next project for the islands.  Grin
