Megascenery
« on: January 22, 2010, 06:59:22 am »
Purchased hawaii as soon as I saw it was available and its nice! Only problem so far is that I am using it with megascenery hawaii and some legacy airport buildings are showing up mixed in and interpenetrating with the New airport scenery buildings. Anyone know which files I should make passive/delete to avoid this?

Is it possible that Megascenery, like they used to do with DCA, duplicated some buildings from the default scenery and inserted in their scenery with changed positions ?

In this case, the solution should be to have an exclude specific for Megascenery, because the exclude that comes for PHNL for default buildings, is made for their original position.

I am experiencing the same issue.  I have already disabled a few BGL's in Megascenery in this area but the buildings are still mixed in.  I am not sure where else to look for conflicting files to remove this problem. If anyone has Megascenery and FSDT PHNL working without conflict perhaps you could let us know so that we can focus on searching elsewhere ?

Thank you in advance

The first thing to check, would be disabling Megascenery first, to be sure the buildings are coming from there.

Hello Umberto,

I have removed Megascenery and the buildings are no longer conflicting. So Now that we know that, would you be able to recommend which files I should disable or exclude to make them both compatible or should I just disable one at a time until I find the culprit(s) ? Could it be just one BGL or a combination?

Thanks

David

Same here. I suspect that Megascenery is probably the most popular Hawaii scenery out there, so there are probably going to be a flood of people in a similar situation!  :)
