Runway 9R/27L Extension
« on: October 26, 2021, 10:31:48 pm »
Will the extension to the runway be released as a live update once it opens? It appears that it actually already has been extended in the sim with all additional taxiways, just the extended portion needs to be re textured with runway markings if I'm not mistaken.
Thank you

We'll surely do that, that's why modeled the backgound to include the full length, so the update should be simpler.

Noticed this today. Has this been patched?

Many thanks.

Asking this question as I believe the extended runway is operational.

We don't have anything new to announce with regard to updates to any airports for FSX or P3D.

Generally speaking, assume that every product for FSX/P3D other than GSX, is basically running in maintenance mode, meaning just ensure you can install it and use it, but won't be further updated, except to fix issues that would prevent it to use it entirely.

The update has been released already, for MSFS.

Yes, if you forget the date of the post, which was in 2021, when somebody still bought *something* for FSX/P3D. Nowadays, almost nobody buys anything for FSX/P3D anymore, clearly indicating most users switched to MSFS, so we don't have much choice other than working when the vast majority of users are.

There isn't any single company in the world that doesn't change their policy, due to the changed market conditions. Those that won't, are the ones that disappear.

The main reason nobody buys anything for P3D, is because there is nothing to buy. I would gladly buy new or updated sceneries for P3D if they were out there.

The main reason nobody buys anything for P3D, is because there is nothing to buy.

Which means we saturated the market and we cannot expect any more sales, meaning we have zero funding for anything new.

And as explained so many times, it's not as if making a P3D scenery is taking any less time than making an MSFS scenery. And since the vast majority of users are there ( see the latest Navigraph survey, which is directed to the most hardcore users, so it should be biased in P3D *favor* ), it's obvious than any new scenery will be made for MSFS. P3D users right now are even less than X-Plane, and we still don't consider X-Plane to be big enough to support new works.

Not that we are having much time to do new airport sin MSFS as well: GSX Pro has been outselling everything by such a big margin, that we don't even have resources to do anything else at the moment, not even sceneries for MSFS.
