[MSFS] ATC having quirks after latest update

I just landed into Basel, ILS15, gray and rainy weather. After landing I asked for a gate and was instructed to go to gate F8... But I could not confirm the gate, in the end services were terminated. Haven't seen this behaviour before. Any clue what is happening?

Of course, both sceneries have proper gate names and are properly connected to the terminals so, I can only assume it must be some kind of bug in the sim.
