GSX detects my FSX SE as an outdated version
« on: January 06, 2021, 09:26:04 am »
[img]So i just got GSX last week and till now i have not been able to use it because when selecting the sim in the installer it says FSX SE is out dated, when in actual sense its the latest update from Steam, I tried reinstalling FSX SE but still nothing, Steam no longer has an update for it there. Check the image attached.

What should i do?

It seems something has corrupted the file version for FSX, since it's reports version 0.0. Have you used the Migration tool ?

Well, if you don't know what it is, we might assume you never used it.

Can you check the file version for the FSX.EXE, located in your SteamLibrary under steamapps\common\FSX ? Browse the folder, look for FSX.EXE, right-click on it, and select "Details"

If I could add a suggestion. Open the Steam icon on your desktop and look for FSX in the left hand column. Right click on FSX and look for properties in the drop down menu. Click on properties and look for updates. Then look for Local Files and click on Verify Integrity of Game files and let it check the files. It works for me.
