"MS Flight Simulator not found" on install **SOLVED**

Hi,

I started the install, got past the "Select Destination Location" statting the it will install along with FSDT Live Update. Then this shows up (attachament). MSFS is installed.

The installer will surely find the Community folder, even if it's not on the default location. Could you please check the last line of this file ?

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\UserCfg.OPT ( if your MSFS is the MS Store version )

%APPDATA%\Microsoft.FlightSimulator\LocalCache\UserCfg.OPT ( if your MSFS is the Steam version )

The last line should contain a line that says:

InstalledPackagesPath

Then a path, which should match the location of your Community folder. Could you please post this line ?

You can also try to enable the installation diagnostic log, this way:

- Open a Command prompt in the location the installer, usually your Downloads folder

- Type the following:

kordv2_msfs_setup.exe /log=log.txt

- Go to the point where you see the error, then exit the installer

- Check a file named LOG.TXT that should have been created in the same folder as the installer.

- ZIP this file and Attach it to a post, so I can have a look at it.

The problem was solved during our TM session. If anybody else is having this problem, please try downloading again from the link in the purchase receipt, since we updated the installer on Digital River.
