Lateral Offset of Groundequipment
« on: December 07, 2019, 01:13:52 pm »
Hi,
I have a Aerosoft CRJ 900 Professional parked at gate 12 in Nuernberg (EDDN).
After I select "Passenger De-boarding" the belt loader as well as the main deck loader are approaching the aircraft, however they are positioning themselves laterally offset by at least one aircraft length.
I am not sure if it is a FSDT GSX V2 problem or a Palms29 EDDN scenery problem. (see screenshot):

Thanks for reply

GSX vehicles starting position is related to the scenery ( just AFCAD, or a GSX customization ), while the vehicle approach position is based on the airplane final position and it's configuration, so that seems a problem of the airplane config, also confirmed by the presence of a big ULD cargo loader, which surely is not appropriate for a CRJ.

See the attached screenshot, showing EDDN Gate 12 with the default CRJ.

Hi Umberto,
Thanks for the quick response.
OK, I guess you identified the cause of the problem (airplane cfg??); so am I to assume it's a Aerosoft (CRJ 700/900/1000 Professional??) problem or are there other solutions to the problem?
Thanks for help

You should check from which source GSX is taking its configuration data for the airplane, in the airplane editor dialog.

Hi Umberto,
So I checked the aircraft editor and found the following:
Aircraft CRJ-700 PRO;
Warning Airplane not yet configured; Aircraft data used by GSX: Aircraft config.
Obviously this is the problem! All other aircraft I have are "Aircraft data available from these sources: Internal GSX database as well as aircraft data used by GSX".
Are there configuration files available as well as instructions how to install??
I never had to do this and would like to get it resolved.
Thanks again for the quick help and response
Brgds

Are you aware you can configure the airplane yourself with the GSX internal configuration editor ?

I'll have to contact Aerosoft to ask if they made any changes, since we had an internal configuration for the CRJ, but the old "non professional" version, which is not used, since they apparently changed the airplane own folder name, suggesting it might not be entirely compatible with the previous one.

Hi Umberto,
The aircraft picture I get when I open the aircraft editor is that of a twin engine / wing attached engines. I don't know whether that's correct since I already uninstalled the non professional version of the Aerosoft CRJ. Also I don't know how to solve the distance offset of all the ground equipment.
I guess I wait to see what Aerosoft has to say
Thanks

Also I don't know how to solve the distance offset of all the ground equipment.

Set all door positions properly. Much easier using the 3d editor, explained at Page 55 of the GSX manual, this should get you going, until we'll add support for the airplane internally.
