Specific Pushback Tugs
« on: October 21, 2019, 10:55:14 pm »
I use FSX with GSX Level 2. All systems are a go and everything is working well, but I was just curious if there is a way to specify which type of pushback tug is in operation. Currently, the tugs cycle between a heavy duty, light duty, and the tug that lifts the nose. Is there any capability to choose or set the scenery or gate to use one type of tug?

Thanks for all the support!

Negative, it's random.

The tugs are randomly selected, but only amongst those that are appropriate for the airplane type, depending on its weight.

Define "small aircraft" or "big pushback". The weight limits are very easy to check in the pushback SIM.CFG files and are as follows:

FSDT_Pushback, which is what can be considered a medium size, will be used when the airplane is heavier than 100K lbs but lighter than 250K, and on parking sizes of at least 15 meters in radius.

FSDT_Pushback_02 , which is a large size, will be used only when the airplane is heavier than 250K lbs, and on parking sizes of at least 15 meters in radius.

FSDT_Pushback_03 , which is also large, will also be used when the airplane is heavier than 250K lbs, and on parking sizes of at least 15 meters in radius.

FSDT_Pushback_Small , which is the smallest one, will be used when the airplane is lighter than 100K lbs OR the parking radius is less than 15 mt.

FSDT_Pushback_TMX, which is medium/large size, will be used when the airplane is heavier than 120K lbs but lighter than 250K and on parking spots with radius larger than 15 mt.

So, if your airplane is lighter than 100K lbs, there's no way you would see any other tow truck than the smallest one. If your airplane it's heavier than that, it not really that small, isn't it ?
