Couatl Scripting Engine unrecoverable error
« on: September 14, 2019, 10:16:28 am »
What would be causing this? I've tried re-installing and conducting updates, but nothing seems to work. Please advise.

You should have posted the most important information in that screen, the error details you were suggested to open.

Hello,

I have the same problem. Pushback is not working anymore after I installed the latest update. See the screenshots.

EDIT: Either the Live Update has been corrected, or there was an issue with my intial run of the the updater.  But after re-running it, it's now working normally again. Thanks.

Hi Umberto, since no one has posted this yet, here are the couatl  details.  My error occured on push from kden b-36 gate, but I'm thinking this may apply to the other issues so I replied here rather than open a new topic

I can confirm I am experiencing the same issue on my end. This has happened at several airports. This happens if you select any of the standard pushback methods rather than the quick pushback. It doesn't make a difference if the pushback is using the snap to AFCAD mode or not, nor does it make a difference if there's a GSX configuration for the airport or not, as I have tested this at several airports with and without custom GSX configurations. The other thing I have discovered is the quick pushback works just fine, so no error results when using quick pushback. In addition, once you have already used the quick pushback and have a quick pushback position saved, you can use the standard pushback methods without any issues for that particular parking spot.

Same Errors for me...tried several gates at DD KORD tonight, and profile or no profile, standard pushback throws errors similar to earlier posts.

Kind Regards,

If anybody can try using the quick pushback function at least once (you can abort it after), then run the pushback again with the standard pushback from the same gate, let me know if that works.

Kevin, all,

Just found this in "General Discussion":

http://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php/topic,21996.0.html

Appears as though the problem is fixed...run Live Update and then try pushback again.

Bedtime or I'd try pushback now that I've run Live Update for the fix...will try tomorrow night.

Kind Regards,
Steven Miller

I used the quick pushback function once and then the normal pushback worked fine. Thanks.

Getting the same error as Krielkip

The error is confirmed ( by several other users ) to be fixed in the current update. It might be just the usual issue that, after an update, not all local Cloudflare nodes gets the latest files at the same time so, each time we do an update, invariably some users keep saying the problem is still there, but that's just because their own local server node still hasn't got the latest file, and there are about 180 of them around the world, so it might take a while before every node is updated.

This is entirely outside of our control, and done entirely automatically by Cloudflare, and using Cloudflare is the only way to give a fast download speed for everybody (a single server would surely crash after an update, making updates impossible for everybody ) and not having to raise our prices just to pay for huge bandwidth bills that would result in not spreading the load through many servers.

So, as usual after every update, wait a bit and you'll get the latest files, eventually.

If you don't want to wait, you might try using a VPN, like this one, which is Open Source and free:

https://openvpn.net/client-connect-vpn-for-windows/

This will allow you to download as if you were located in a different place, likely getting another update server.
