"Access Denied" when trying to use live update
« on: August 27, 2019, 02:02:55 am »
Tried using the FSDT Live Updater but I keep getting the Microsoft .NET Framework error "Access to the path 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts' is denied." Only thing I can think of is i tried reinstalling my hawaii v2 airports and then this issue started. Uninstalled hawaii v2, reinstalled the live updater but no success. Im using latest version of p3d. My apologies if this has already been addressed in a different thread.

The errors happens because you (or some kind of program you ran) added some lines to the hosts file, to explicitly prevent your system to connect to esellerate.net, which of course you shouldn't do, considering our products all requires esellerate for activation.

Remove the offending lines, and the installation will proceed normally.
