Service doors and Airbus
« on: July 28, 2019, 12:23:29 pm »
Hi,
I am using the Aerosoft Airbus Pro A318/9/20/21 in automatic mode in GSX2 and have a problem. All is well until I call for the food service vehicles. they arrive and the doors do not open, I get a message on screen to open them. If I do then they open and close automatically and will not stop doing so. There is no way to stop this. If I disable gsx2 then the operation continues. I have seen apost on the Aerosoft forums referring to door operation, but this is with GSX, original version, dates from 2018 and is now closed. Is there any way to stop this happening, as it is impossible to close the aforesaid doors? The only way to continue the flight is to reload the flight anew and not use catering, as everything else works well.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

GSX doesn't control the airplane doors, it's the airplane code that does that so, I suggest contacting Aerosoft to ask about this. I believe that full GSX integration is only available in their experimental builds.

No such problem on my system with this version.

Hi,
Thank you for that. I have 1. 2. 4 0. and the Aerosoft updater states that it is up to date. Looks like a complete re-install of all aircraft and the updater.

Not necessarily, as Umberto stated previously you must enable experimental builds in the Aerosoft Updater itself. save you a bunch of trouble and time.

Cheers

Finally I have doors closing and all seem to work well. I tried the above and the doors did not open automatically, so I used the buttons on FMC3, they opened then closed and kept on like this, as before. I then used the directions in a post on the Aerosoft forums [GSX AUTOMATIC DOOR HANDLING from NOV2018] ( i DO NOT KNOW HOW TO PROVIDE A LINK, SORRY ) and did the installation. The folders for the gauge are in the A318 and A320 installations, not as stated in the post, perhaps it was for GSX not GSX2, or for an earlier Airbus. I then in the GSX2 settings disabled the automatic doors option, whilst leaving the automatic mode working and all now works. I do not want to tinker, I do not know which fixed the problem, perhaps all 3.
I hope that this helps others with a similar problem.
Thank you all once again, until my next problem. :) ;) ;D
