Passengers too big for the plane
« on: June 19, 2019, 02:32:09 pm »
HI. I usually fly private planes but find that the passengers heads stick out of the top of the plane or the legs hang out of the bottom when boarding, depending on the plane. Is there any way to resize the passengers so they fit inside. Thanks

Sorry, not possible, we'll have to create an entirely new set of passengers which would lower their heads when boarding. A possible suggestion for a future GA expansion to GSX.

Mabe you could take that on the list for a possible "General aviation expansion". Because there with smaller planes, you sure need new animations for the people to get into the planes. Mabe you could wokr with a new layer: the already implemented floor but also a "virtual roof" that you can place in the 3d editor. So you can say: "here's the floor, here's the ceiling" and the people will crouch in between?

The issue is, while a virtual floor it's easy to do, because we just position the character on a different height, a virtual ceiling is much harder, because it would require to perform an animation that is just not there (crouching a bit), and would have to be made for each individual passenger.

Yes i know and it would be quite hard to get that halfway realistic without the need of tons of new bones and polys or looking like a zombie apocalypse while entering or leaving the plane... Well, I know if someone can do, than it would be your team. But it's already great what we have and there are far more important things to develop.
