Was wondering if anyone knows a way to get the catering trucks to cater the aircraft as posted in this photo

Cheers

That's the first time I ever seen catering vehicles on the left side.

The issue is, a door in GSX is either service or passengers: it cannot be both so, even if you might be able to put a service door there and rotated on the opposite side, you'll have to remove the passenger door, otherwise they will overlap.

At Heathrow, BA 747s are catered through doors 1R, 2R and 4L. Catering via 4L involves a very careful approach along the trailing edge of the wing, then a last-minute turn to get perpendicular to the fuselage. Would be interesting to see that modelled in GSX. For info, the same truck does door 1R and 4L; the truck that does door 2R does the Upper deck as well via the internal lift.

For further info, 777s are catered via 1R, 2R and 4R, as are 787s. A380s are catered via 2R lower and upper, then 4L lower and upper.

For what it's worth I often see our caterers use the rear (2L/3L?) left side door as well here at ORD - in particular on narrowbody a/c and the frequent E-175.  As it was explained to me, there's a lot of activity on the right side of the a/c during a turn...in particular, bag loading.  Using 2L/3L and rolling the carts down the center aisle before boarding begins is thought to minimize risks on the right side.

We always try to get our loading and unloading before the cargo/baggage/passengers start loading... doesn't always work out though.
