Jetways don't connect

This is for sure an issue that i may may be caused because I do not have something properly set up, but i cannot get jetways to connect by pressing "CTRL+J" even though i have this keys assigned to the right assignment. Could anybody please help me with this issue please?

Do you have the "Advanced animations" box checked in the graphic settings ?
