UTIL.DLL Error
« on: June 20, 2009, 08:22:40 pm »
Since installing KFLL last night I keep getting a UTIL.DLL error upon closing Fs9.

Faulting application fs9.exe, version 9.1.0.40901, time stamp 0x4135a208, faulting module UTIL.DLL, version 9.1.0.40901, time stamp 0x4135a88e, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x00010350, process id 0x660, application start time 0x01c9f1c439795f7d.

I tried the new AFCAD and it still happens. I'm running Vista64.

Umberto posted this yesterday...>>>>>

We think to have found the problem. Thanks to the user rduda, that we thanks for this, we discovered this is a  well known FS9 bug ( well, we never heard about it: ) ), related to a way to create an elevated platform command, used on the 3 parking lots, which crashes util.dll.

We'll probably be able to fix it, be redoing the platform in a different way.

As I've said, the problem will be fixed, it's an FS9 bug that we didn't know anything about it, and the funny thing is that is the *official* SDK sanctioned way of making a landable platform on FS9, using the native FS9 command...

I guess you don't see it very often in other sceneries, because most developers are using FS2002 or even FS2000 code in their sceneries to do the same thing.
