Few Issues
« on: September 09, 2018, 10:50:47 am »
Hi Guys

Bought Level 2 the other day and I must say I am very much impressed.
I have been testing out the SODE jetway replacement but I have noticed a couple of things. Can anyone help (See photos)?

1. The jetway heigh is too small for the default airport bridge, can the height of the jetway be changed?
2. When I clicked reset in the GSX menu all the jetways disappeared and wont shop. Again when I restart FSX again they do not show up? When I go back to the GSX menu it seems to forget the jetway positions an type I selected.

Any help would be appreciated.

No, it can't, and the reasons has been answered here:

http://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php/topic,18161.msg128163.html#msg128163

The Jetways we provided have different heights (Thyssen are higher than JBT) and we have two versions of the corrugated bridge, the ones with the names ending in _S are "slanted", which should ease matching the lower height JBTs with higher terminal buildings.

Please post your airport .INI file for that airport, which is located here:

Hi

Thanks for the info regarding Jetway height.

Please see ini file attached.

Also Im trying with the TDS 757 which works perfect with aircrtairs, however when testing out a SODE jetway I press 5 and get a messaging saying that The jetway doesn't resolve with any door?

Thanks
Jordan

These are the thing that affects whether a jetway will resolve or not:

- Rotate and move the jetway. In general, it's best to rotate them more in the outward position, so they must rotate a bit in counter-clockwise direction to reach the final position.

- Choose a different jetway model. Those with 3 tunnels are more flexible.

- Tweak the airplane Stop position.

Hmmm I have tried editing the stop position, jetway position and I am using a 3 tunnel.
Still no joy?

One of the suggestion was : choose a different jetway model. There is a reason why there are many size variations for each kind.

Sorry to be a total pain.
Ive now tried various jetways, rotated them and moved the stop positions. Still getting the same resolve message.

You must have rotated in the wrong way, or moved the stop position in the wrong way. Yours, for example, seems to be rotated a bit too much on the outside.

As you see in your image, try to rotate it 10 degrees clockwise and it must work.

Apply only a clockwise rotation on root of jetway. And make sure your plane has well-configured exits.

You now rotated it too much. It really isn't so hard: rotate it a bit, press 5, rotate it a bit, press 5, etc.
