KJFK Runway lights too dim **SOLVED**
« on: October 16, 2017, 04:40:19 am »
Using P3d V4.1  I was approaching KJFK at night and I could hardly see the lights of the runway in clear skies.  City lights look way brighter than the runways.  I could hardly distinguish between the runway (22R) in this case.

At 4nm, I couldn't distinguish between the runway path and the rest of the city lights.

Any thoughts?

Im using FTX Vector and REX Direct texture plus soft clouds.

Be sure Anisotropic filtering at 16x is enabled in the Video card control panel, and is set to enhance the application setting.

Its set to Global setting 16X.  Though I cant find where to select application enhanced.  But alsoin P3d is set to 16X.  Here is a screenshot.  Its very close to the aiprot and you can barely see the runway lights, though you can see bright city lights....

Ok.  I tried using 2MSSA as I had none selected, this seems to do a fix with exchange to a hit in performance, especially using Dinamyc Lights.
