Jetway sinks into ground
« on: July 30, 2017, 03:54:29 am »
At Gate 13 the SW hub the Jetway sinks into the ground. Im using PMDG 737NGX P3d V4 and all latest software and addon versions.  Can this be adjusted? Kinda weird.   CHeck out the screenshot.

Disregard, it does this at other airports too. Must be a GSX issue. . .

As explained in the GSX manual, and discussed so many times on the forum, NOTHING in GSX has anything to do with the operation of default jetways. The location a default jetway docks to is NOT controlled or changed by GSX, but it's only dependent on the coordinates for the main exist, as specified by the airplane developer in the [Exits] section of the airplane.cfg.

The door location used by GSX is used ONLY by the GSX vehicles.

The ONLY case when GSX controls the docking position of a jetway, is when a scenery uses SODE jetways. Only in that case, GSX will communicate the door data to SODE, which will move the jetway to the proper place.

KLAX still uses the default FSX jetways so, how they operate is entirely unrelated to GSX. Default FSX jetways are known to have bugs, like wheels sinking into the ground, but there's nothing we can do in the scenery to fix this, other than switching to SODE jetways, which we'll do for all our past sceneries whenever we'll update them.
