P3D v3 scenery library entries
« on: June 30, 2017, 08:58:24 am »
I am on P3D v3.
I updated GSX and what I noticed is that ALL the FSDT sceneries moved to top of the scenery library list and are all grayed out with inability to tick the active/inactive box in the scenery library.

I do have the Addon Manager and the Couatl menus under the "Add-ons" menu.

Is this how they're supposed to be from now on ?

If I want to disable temporarily (not uninstall) a scenery how do I do this ?

There are cases where in some flights with specific add on's I need the scenery disabled to save VAS and avoid the dreaded OOM ! (until I move to P3D v4 in few months, that is)

Regards

As explained so many times here on the forum, if the reason for wanting to deselect the scenery is to save memory, it's totally useless deactivating FSDT or Flightbeam sceneries just to save VAS, it's a complete waste of time and effort, because the Addon Manager already does custom memory management for such sceneries, by removing all objects created at the airport, the moment you exit from its area, about 15.0 NM out.
