Discolored night textures (P3D v4)
« on: June 15, 2017, 05:15:23 am »
Hi all:

I recently purchased KIAH, and I've shared a screenshot of these bizarre colorized night textures.  They're all over the airport, this is just one example.

I'm not sure what you are referring to as "bizarre". If you are referring to the color artifacts, they are a result of the DXT compression, which is lossy and, due to how the graphic engine works, it's more apparent at night.

That is what I was referring to yes... thanks for the response, though!  I assume there's not much that can be done, assuming because it's an older scenery?

I guess not, it's just the way the sim renders in HDR. If you want to see the scenery as it was designed, you might try turning HDR off.
