Hi

A la maledizione .....

I followed your instruction. Antivirus deinstalled, LSGG installed, FSX started, and.... the buldings are OK, the Coutil is in the "Complements". Wonderful !
But after FSX shutdown, and start again (without antivirus) no buildings, no Couatl..... The same with a new PC Start

Don't disable the antivirus. Also, keep in mind that just quitting the A/V user interface will not disable it.

You can keep it running, but you need to exclude your FSX folder from scanning. Or, just exclude FSX\fsdreamteam\couatl\couatl.exe

Hello,
I'm writing in English so your answers could be helpful to other users.
I am experiencing the same problem. I have installed LSGG but the buildings don't show. I can see vehicles and jetways and also the Fire Brigade 737 but instead of buidings I have back shadows on the ground.
Following this post i have generated the file couatl.log (actually it showed up in FSX main directory), here are the results:

You are trying to use the current version of the Couatl with an older version of the bglman.dll/dat files.

Just reinstall the scenery, or install the stand-alone Addon Manager for FSX, to be found here:

http://www.virtualisoftware.com/binaries/setup_addonmanagerX.exe

Umberto,

thank you for the quick answer. Reinstalling the software didn't help but after having installed the stand-alone Addon Manager everything went fine.

Thanks again for your help.

Bonsoir
, one moreover to have troubles with your scene
 was idiotic, I did not read the forums enough, and I have splash down
I went to make a turn on your forum, and indeed, it seems that we are many people in
 this case, and unfortunately, my English is not strong enough for understanding well only they say
 trick which I it is that understood is needed installed “ADDON MANAGER” it is well the first time
 that I see that it is necessary to install a trick with share to make function a scene, odd!!!!
Installed good, it is well in the complements, where as it was not front there.
But I do not know what it is necessary to do with, and if what there is inside is correct???
As read on another forum I also checked the lines of FSX.cfg; below

\ Program Files (x86) \ Microsoft Games \ Microsoft Flight Simulator X \ fsdreamteam \ couatl \ couatl.exe.ililhwlbqkwqwhzzbqquwnieukrqcnlokhlbctah=1
 F:\Program Files (x86) \ Microsoft Games \ Microsoft Flight Simulator X \ bglmanx.dll.unuhnwtbzcworcoakunwattiibkzlltbzknicnrz=1

 All seems to be correct
I put outside, reinstalled, nothing to make!!! Still not of buildings
 I do not have rather correct English, for understanding well what is with the top.

      Also for help you
       check the  EXE.XML file, located at %APPDATA%\Microsoft\FSX
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?>
<SimBase.Document Type="Launch" version="1,0">
  <Descr>Launch</Descr>
  <Filename>exe.xml</Filename>
  <Disabled>False</Disabled>
  <Launch.ManualLoad>False</Launch.ManualLoad>
  <Launch.Addon>
    <Name>Couatl</Name>
    <Disabled>False</Disabled>
    <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
    <Path>fsdreamteam\couatl\couatl.exe</Path>
  </Launch.Addon>
</SimBase.Document>
  <Launch.Addon>
    <Name>Couatl</Name>
    <Disabled>False</Disabled>
    <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
    <Path>fsdreamteam\couatl\couatl.exe</Path>
  </Launch.Addon>
</SimBase.Documen

So, the Addon Manager it's not cleary the problem, because you obviously have it running, otherwise you wouldn't see the interface shown in the screenshot.

However, it's not enough: you should also see the "Couatl powered plugin" menu as well. Do you see this one as well ?

If not, try to reinstall the stand-alone Addon Manager with the antivirus disabled and, before running FSX, configure the antivirus to ignore both bglmanx.dll (found under your FSX root folder) and the Couatl.exe file, found under the FSX\fsdreamteam\couatl folder.

Also, be sure you have install the stand-alone Addon Manager AFTER you have the scenery installed.

And, is the EXE.XML in your PC the same as you posted here ? Because, I see an error there:

</SimBase.Documen

See, the last line has an error, check that you have it correct on your PC, because it should be like this:

</SimBase.Document>

And, there's another error: you have TWO sections for Couatl.exe

If it's already like this, leave it as it is. Otherwise, you need to correct it, in this case, some other product you have installed might have corrupted the EXE.XML, we know that REX had a bug that corrupted the EXE.XML file, for example.

It might be just easier if you simply *remove* the EXE.XML, then reinstall the Addon Manager again, it will create a correct one automatically.

Sorry, but is what you are posting is what is contained in your EXE.XML, it's all a big mess.

As I've said REMOVE the EXE.XML file, then reinstall the Addon Manager, it will create a new one correct.

Ok, now you finally have a correct XML file.

Now, let's repeat the questions:

- Do you see the "Addon Manager" menu under the "Addons" menu ?

- Do you see the "Couatl powered plugins" under the "Addons" menu ?

- Have you DISABLED the antivirus during the installation ?

- Have you configured the antivirus to exclude the FSX\fsdreamteam\Couatl\Couatl.exe file  before launching it ?

i dont know where i need to look, i think not same because fsx in french
if it is inside windows 3D in french it is complements
yes i see " Addon Manager"

for " Couatl powered plugins "
If it is the same place than " Addon Manager"
no i dont see " Couatl powered plugins "

Yes i have disabled the virus during the installation and also i excluded
FSX, and FSX\fsdreamteam\Couatl\Couatl.exe file   and also Couatl.exe and bglmanx.bgl
it is configure to exclude all that before launching it

Ok, the issue is that Couatl is not running.

Try this, please pay attention, because I think you made a mistake, that resulted in lines from FSX.CFG to appear inside EXE.XML

- Open %APPDATA%\Microsoft\FSX\FSX.CFG   ( FSX.CFG, NOT EXE.XML!! ) with Notepad

- Remove all the references to Couatl.exe under the [trusted] section. Remove all the lines that contains a Couatl.exe reference.

- Save FSX.CFG

- Launch FSX and notice if it asking you to trust the Couatl module. Reply YES to both questions.

- Don't worry if it doesn't work at the first try, launch FSX again and, if still doesn't work, reboot Windows and try again
