Author Topic: Textures not appearing in P3D SOLVED (Read 8946 times)

I just bought LAX V2 and most of the textures show up, but then (as seen below) the west side of the airport is using ground textures like the demo expired. I already tried restarting the addon manager and restarting P3D, nothing works.

In the photo, you can see that the bottom of the picture shows the normal textures, but the rest of runway 07R and 07L are using ground textures.

Try to to force a rebuild of the P3D shaders, by removing this folder:

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3d v3\Shaders

Start the sim, and wait a couple of minutes while it will recreate all the shaders.

Uhmm, I don't have that folder. I installed a PTA preset and it has a Backup Shaders folder, but just sitting on my desktop.

It's not possible you don't have that folder, because it's created automatically by the sim.

Yes I understand, I read the folder location wrong the first time. Tried removing that, and it didn't work. I also tried uninstalling then reinstalling but still no luck

Yeah that didn't work. I've done it a few times and it still leaves out those textures, leaving the airport unflyable

I'm discovering that although all my fsdt airports are installed in the right location, I had to re-run a fresh wrapper for each scenery I didn't have textures for, and then it appears.

The solution seems to be to install again over your existing install. Worked for me too.

Sorry I'm annoying you guys again, I really want to fly to LAX. I tried landing 25R and after the end of where the textures end my plane thought I was on grass and broke my gear...
