Vegetation displaying over ground
« on: June 03, 2017, 08:55:31 am »
Hi guys! First off, let me say that this scenery knocks it out of the park. As a Carolina boy, I approve 100%!!!!

Just one issue.

I'm running it in FSX and Prepar3D V4 and I see this issue in both platforms: Anywhere that there is a tree or other sort of vegetation in the scenery that is at a lower elevation than the surroundings, for example in the ditch near the large American Airlines hangar or over near the Bank of America hangars to the east of runway 36R, they are displaying in front of the ground. A very disconcerting visual when taxiing past! It's only the vegetation, not buildings and such, which leads me to believe that it's an issue going on with transparency in the textures. Here's a screenshot showing the problem.

Other than that, everything looks great and performs smooth as silk especially in P3DV4 which I plan to utilize as my primary sim. Thanks again!!!

Be sure you run the FSDT Live Update now, because we had an update yesterday that fixed some of these issues.

Which is why I said "fixed some of these issues". You probably noticed another one...

Were we ever able to revisit this? It affects the entire airport. Anywhere that there are trees placed at a lower elevation than the runways and taxiways. It's also making some buildings appear as if they are floating  :'(

These are not every instance of the problem, just a few examples. Hope we can get it straightened out.

Thanks again.

Any headway on fixing this issue? The FBO area is all to pieces because of this, which stinks because I fly mostly general aviation.

Just to be sure, are you setting the Mesh resolution as suggested in the manual, which is either 10 or 5 meters/pixel, and not higher ?

That is correct. It appears to be entirely a drawing order problem. Transparencies and such.
