P3d crashing on exit

I installed KCLT last night, the only FSDT product I have, and while in the sim everything works fine, however p3d crashes when I exit.  "Prepar3d has stopped working" or something like that.  I am still running p3d v2.5.  Below is the crash from Event Viewer,

Similar issue here except running FSX on Windows 7 Home Premium.  Receive the error that Microsoft Flight Simulator X has stopped working.  Event log error is below.  Process explorer shows that dxdiag is launched and a dxdiag.txt file is created after the FSX error is acknowledged.

Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61472.0, time stamp: 0x475e17d3
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7601.23796, time stamp: 0x59028db3
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x0003a0d7
Faulting process id: 0xa38
Faulting application start time: 0x01d2db0564f1e7c2
Faulting application path: F:\FSX\fsx.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ntdll.dll
Report Id: ea7768df-46f9-11e7-9b7a-240a641d107b

We cannot of course reproduce the problem. Do you still have it if you uninstall KCLT ?

Well a rather quick search for clr.dll says it's the main binary for .NET 4.0, so what portion of your software uses this?

None, of course. We only use pure un-managed C++, nothing in our software ever interacts with the .NET CLR. It's P3D *itself* that uses .NET.

I'm sorry, but there's not much we can do to help you: nobody at FSDT has 2.5 still installed, but we haven't done anything that would explicitly drop compatibility with it.

A question: were you looking at the night scenery ? Do you have the crash at day too ?

Definitely have it at night.  I'll try day time
*EDIT* Yes it's happening during day time as well.
Could I please get some clear instructions on how to install this airport?  Part of me wonders if these crashes are because I had so many issues installing it.  First off I wasn't aware that I needed a separate program called addon manager first, then I installed this airport, but the installar kept pointing it to a folder called addon manager.  After that the airport wouldn't display in the sim so I manually copied all the files contained in addon manager folder to the root of my p3d directory since the folder structure made it seem like that's where it belonged, and furthermore that's what I had to do to even get the airport to display in the sim.

You run the installer.

Which issues ?

You don't. It obviously come with the installer, which installs everything needed automatically.

then I installed this airport, but the installar kept pointing it to a folder called addon manager.

And why you think this would be a problem ?

And by doing this, you probably caused a whole big mess. You cannot just copy stuff that way, why you think there are installers ? They don't "just" copy files, there are permission issues to deal with, registry entries to set, and lots of other stuff.

For example, our installer needs to store a registry key to set its installation folder, which is then read by the software to set all its proper running path. The key is set by the installer but, if you move files manually elsewhere, nothing will then work.

I think it would be best if you simply Uninstall everything, including the P3D4, clear its folder, because it would be the only way to be sure this will undo any mess you have created by moving files manually, then reinstall P3D and reinstall KCLT and DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING.

Don't assume the installer is wrong or bugged. The installer knows what to do. If it suggest to install into C:\Program Files (x86)\Addon Manager, it's because it's usually a good place to install into, like any other Windows software out there. The only reason why you would want to change that, if if you know you are low on disk space on C:

Ok so on a clean install I load up the sim and am greeted with an error saying the Couatl Scripting engine encountered an unrecoverable error and needs to be restarted and to install that latest standalone addon manager, which you tell me I don't need.  Viewing the log gives no info aside from "problem raised by engine or unspecified addon.

Where you installed the Addon Manager ?
