GSX realistic ideas?

Hello,

im currently  a ramper for Westjet out in Phoenix and i would like to state that having been in the sim community towards real life. GSX falls out of the realism setting for certain things.

1. Cones are different for every plane and every airline where they are placed.
2. wingwalkers needs to be added.
3. loading ( meaning if everything is in the front per the fmc or payload then why does it bring bags to the back instead of just leaving it to the front)
4. after unloading and if the plane is going to sit, there should be an option for pulling the equipment back off the plane)
5. it would be cool to see a pop up screen saying if there is any cargo, so it can display cargo boxes or AVI or and special load onto the plane other than bags.
6. on widebody aircraft why are there no pallets?
7. a little bit more realistic on the pushback(not all pushbacks are going to be perfect)
8. maybe a failure page where the shear pin snaps or bags got up the ramp late.
9. also you wont have a crew of 5+ guys working on a flight
10. Lavs truck and water truck addon would be cool


i hope you can take these ideas and implant them giving gsx a realistic feature to it. OTHER THAN THAT ITS AWESOME!

1. Cones are different for every plane and every airline where they are placed.

We already have 3 different variants of cones, we can surely add more (sizes, for example) and they can be tied to the airplane size.

Placement is not something left to improvisation: there are standard placement points, depending on the engine location and wingtips, and GSX already supports this, by placing cones over the wingtips and over the engines. Of course, assuming the airplane configuration is correct to begin with: if you use an unsupported plane, you must first create a configuration for it.

GSX doesn't currently have any notion of precise cargo location in the airplane, because the simulator *itself* doesn't have a proper way to recognize them. Loading stations can be configured very differently, and there's no standard: the airplane developer can name a station anyway he wants, and it can represent anything, from a single bag (or person) or a whole cargo section. There's no such thing as a "type" parameter that we could read to know *WHAT* a loading station represent.

We might consider this, might be useful.

Surely there are. Again, if your airplane is not already supported internally, you must create a correct configuration for it, including the kind of pallet used.

Before considering failures, best to have all normal things working right.

Already planned for inclusion, as you can see from the options in the editor.

most of cargo will be in boxes, but we do have animals that come off of a plane. just trying to get the visualization implanted in gsx, thats all

Please clarify.

Pushing back is easy no doubt, but your not going to get a straight perfect pushback everytime on the dot. So like a customizeable pushback screen where we can tell if we want it to be slanted, or pulled forward, or released, or just do a pushback where the ramp lead is just horrible and misses the line by 5 to 10 feet the left or right.

As a ramp lead i sometimes only have 1 to 2 guys on my scheduled list of crew workers for a flight, other times ill have 4-5 people. usually i will only have 2 people and will only have 50 mins to turn a flight with 180 bags coming off. Just trying to get the visual of having less than guys than the guys already. unless you work for american then youll have 10 guys on a flight.
