Request: Dirty Cargo Loader Textures
« on: January 20, 2017, 01:35:57 am »
Hi Umberto,

Thanks for the new updates, they are a treat! For the next update is it possible to include textures for cargo loaders that look like they've been in service for a long time? The pure white of the current textures stick out like a sore thumb compared to the environment around it. I feel like it would add to the realism of the whole experience.

I'm not experienced at all at re-texturing, so adding this would be great!

I suggest for one choose another vehicle colour, or don't clean your monitor (s). Just a thought.😥

We are planning to remake most of the current GSX vehicles, to apply many new texture techniques we learned from KMEM and the next sceneries, and having a more realistic and used/dirty feel is one of them.

The new Fuel truck use a bit of them, but not entirely, you'll see more and more of it in the future.

This is also a required preparation work, which will pay off when our simulator platforms will eventually all move to PBR ( Physical Based Rendering, used by all last-gen game engines ). In fact, most of the things we are doing now, are already using PBR methods, it's just the current supported sim cannot render them as effectively as it could. However, with DTG Flight School and X-Plane 11 already using PBR, we are confident this work will pay off in the end.
