hey everyone
this maybe a silly question but I was looking around some forums and havn't found my answer so I'll ask ...
I was looking for a program that would monitor your flight example if I was to train in the f18 and start out as a cadet and move my way up the ladder by doing flight training.
is there such a program I guess it's kinda like flight scool but for fsx
thanks.

Yes there is such a program but it is development at the moment the program is called FighterOps which will start with UPT in the Texan followed by the T38C. It may be a few years away but it will feature Global terrain like FS, realistic FM and avionics and 2 seater MP trainers. The addons for FO will include A-10A, F-16C/D, F-15C/D/E and alot of other aircraft following that.

You have to learn to crawl before you learn to walk... If this is your first time flying a military jet, get a freeware trainer like the goshawk from Avsim and learn on that.  That hornet will sting you big time if you don't know what you're doing.

ok thanks
well to answer no not first time flying
I guess I was looking for something like cargo pilot and or fspassengersx career mode of some sort
something that when activated monitors your flying and landing in some sort of career mode
make sense?
I have tried falcon 4.0 and the different addons for that for example but graphics suck.
if nothing found I guess Im stuck making my own touch and goes and wait and see.
thanks though.

Another way is to join a Squadron.
http://seawolves.org/svn/
We sort of expect pilots to be able to do the basics but your logbook reflects the pilots performance with combat missions. Promotions at low ranks-mid are based on kills/mission completion/rtb/landing and flight rtb. Trainning starts off easy basic A/G with iron bombs, A/A with Slammers and NAV. AOAC consists of TAC manual, A/G popup attack, coordinated strikes, FAC with smoke for On Call CAS missions and A/A tactics. Gradually a new pilot gets trainned up and moves from wingman to lead element to flight lead. You can't do this stuff with FSX which is why approved sims for scores are F4AF, Lockon, Janes F/A-18 and Pacific Fighters. Although we do sometimes take FSX for a spin in MP its not suitable for scoring as we can't shoot anything yet. Grin

No problem Dude you'll want that mic fixed as you'll need it during the A/A phase of your trainning.
