Sounds great about the option to have the jetway connect without needing deboarding (after all, the next crew may board the aircraft after deboarding of the previous flight is complete)!
While you're at it - can the jetway retraction be looked into as well? Last flight I did out of KMEM the jetway retracted immediately after boarding completed - leaving me with an open door and no jetway connected (and IRL since external power was still connected this could have resulted in damage too
). Then, as soon as I requested pushback, the first thing that happened was the jetway reconnected for some reason! If given the option, i'd rather the jetway retraction be the first thing that happens when requesting pushback rather than upon completion of boarding. If i'm in a 737 or an Airbus it gives me time to close the door and disconnect external power first
