Engine Controls in the F/A-18
« on: November 12, 2007, 03:18:27 am »
Could someone point out the location of the engine and fuel cut-off controls in the F/A-18?  I landed and sat in the cockpit for 15 minutes looking for the engine and fuel cut-off controls.  This is an incredibly realistic aircraft, but I can't for the life of me find the engine switches.  Thanks.

The easiest way to cut off fuel would be the standard keypress CTRL+SHIFT+F1 (or F2 for engine 2), I'm not sure if there's an actual switch modeled, I'll check.

OK, thanks very much.  I hope there is a switch - otherwise I'll use the keyboard.

The fuel cut off switches should be inside the throttle quadrant, similar to F-15, to turn engine off, you have to go to idle, rise the finger lifts, and pull throttles back further. It doesn't seems to be made in this aircraft though.
