Coatl scripting engine error
« on: December 14, 2015, 12:33:09 am »
Hello

Presently running Windows 10 and FSX Gold edition.  When I try to activate a command with GSX, I receive the following error message; Coalt Scripting engine has encountered an unrecoverable error and will be restarted.  Please download the latest stand alone add-on manager from our web site.

The problem is, I cannot find this download anywhere.

Thanks

Robert

It doesn't say just that. It also says to check the error details in the Couatl.ERR file. This would indicate why the error is happening.

The GSX page, of course:

common.modelCustomization.NoModelInstalled: No model of type BaggageWagon is currently installed

This error seems to indicate you haven't even installed the full GSX. Have you installed the Stand-Alone Addon Manager only, over a very old GSX installation ?

Or, have you installed GSX by "moving" it from an old PC or an old Windows installation ? This won't work, you must run the installer, using the latest full GSX installer.

If you are sure you installed GSX using the latest full installer in your current FSX and Windows installation, check if another 3rd party product might have corrupted the FSX.CFG, causing the issue reported here:
