Couatl Scripting Engine for FSX/ESP stopped working

Would request your help. I am facing this error from quite sometime after I installed the latest version of GSX. Under folder "appdata\Virtuali" on this file is available "CouatlAddons.ini" and no log file is available.

Your error detail shows you are running a VERY old version of Couatl 2. Not even the latest one before the last large update we had in August.

Since, none of the installers we have online now contains Couatl 2, it's not possible you get it by mistake when installing any of them, provided of course you are running *them*, not an old download you might still have around.

See my previous reply. You only need to download and install the current version from our site, not some older installer you might have downloaded in the past.

Also, be sure you don't install an older FSDT product using an older installer *after* installing the latest GSX: Always install GSX last or, if you need to install other FSDT products, download their current installers too.

If your error log is still the same as the one you posted, then you are not using the current version. Please check the error again, and confirm this.

Please find the screen shots in the attached file. I am using the latest installer downloaded on 18th Sep 15. Request teamviewer session so that I can show you and maybe you can point out the real cause of the crash.

Request your help please. I am unable to use GSX. I have tried downloading the latest setup file today, but still it crashes. Kindly help as this is pending since 17th Sep.

Dear Umberto,
After lot of workaround with the above error, I went ahead and formatted my PC, post which I have downloaded the latest gsx installer. I don't have any antivirus in my pc, however I get this error "Internal protection error". Only the addons menu is available in which the GSX shows active. Would really appreciate your revert as its almost a month now the GSX is not working for some or the other reason.

I'm sorry, but we don't have any way to test this, because none of us ever uses Vista anymore.

In any case, I strongly suggest you to upgrade to a 64 bit OS, because under a 32 bit OS, the most of memory you can use (in *total*), it's 4GB MINUS the VRAM used by your video card, and this must be shared between the OS and FSX.

This means, even if you have more than 4GB of RAM in your system, the rest will be entirely wasted, and if you have a good video card with 1 or 2 GB, you'll have less than 3GB to use for *both* Windows AND FSX, will surely guarantee crashes and Out of Memory errors even with moderately complex addons.

But how come this was working before the latest update and don't have any issues while running fsx with My traffic / AES / FS Passengers / Add on sceneries.
