bglmanx.dll - Entry point not found
« on: May 09, 2016, 05:31:13 am »
Hi Folks

First of all.
I know, This subject has been discussed many times. I tried everything suggested here, but none have effect.
-First Time I am installing a product of FSDT (Gsx)
- Simulator: Lockheed Martin P3D 3.2.2
- Installing the GSX get an error while installing SimConnect
http://s25.postimg.org/eg2qtos5b/vvic_968.png

I tried to install SimConnect from: H: \ Lockheed Martin \ P3Dv3 \ redist \ Interface \ FSX-SP2-XPack \ retail \ lib, but I get an error ( the same error from GsX installer). In fact none of the SimConnect of P3D can be installed, I always get the same error.
* In English is:
" a network error occurred while attempting to read from the file.....

When I try to open the P3D, I get this error:
http://s25.postimg.org/axqqxar9b/vvic_962.png

- I have installed on the same PC FSX SP2
- I have installed the FSX SDK
- I have installed the SDK P3D
- P3D professional version
- * Addons:
ASN (FSX - P3D)
PMDG (T7-NGX)
FSUIPC + Wide
Ezca camera
- If I delete Addon Manager from DLL.xml, P3D start normally without errors.
- GSX installer I get the error - Addon Manager Standalone also get the error ..
- Maybe someone suggest me install SimConnect P3D, but I can not install it because I get that error ...
- I have all rights (reading and writing)
- Always install everything as administrator

Thanks in advance | Any suggestions?

You have SEVERAL problems, all at the same time, but none of course has any relationship with GSX, which is just a VICTIM of it and, in fact, thanks to GSX, you are spotting a problem in your system that you might have now know about.

1) The Simconnect_text() entry point not found error

The problem is caused by another add-on that use an outdated (the one from the initial FSX release) Simconnect version, that doesn’t include the Simconnect_text function required by our products, so the sim is forced to load an the outdated version, and is stuck with it for some reason.

It should be possible to fix it as explained here:

http://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php/topic,13029.msg97823.html#msg97823

I think you might have an outdated version or RAASPRO, because they confirmed it WAS a bug they had:

http://www.avsim.com/topic/475355-problem-with-raas-update-in-p3dv2-both-install-and-uninstall-woes/

2) The failure to install the Simconnect client.

Even if you manage to fix the first problem, unless you can successfully install the correct Simconnect client, there's no way you will be able to run 3rd party addon products which requires Simconnect SP2/XPack (which is the latest backward compatible FSX version).

The GSX installer doesn't come with that file. It just launch it from YOUR OWN P3D installation folder. Which means, if you have an error reading the installer,  something has gone wrong in your P3D installation so, it's best if you reinstall it. The file is installed as part of the P3D installation.

Thanks for reply.

It might be a good idea to reinstall windows?
With many current problems, solving one could cause others appear. I have the original dvd of my windows 7 and my serial numbers / licenses of my addons, and would not be a problem reinstall windows7.
Maybe if I do a clean install, all problems are solved. Is that possible?
One more question, all your products are compatible with P3D 3.2.3 (will update my p3d) professional version?

Absolutely not. The problem doesn't have anything to do with your Windows installation. As I've said, you have TWO problems:

1) The 1st one is caused by another 3rd party module using an outdated Simconnect, and can be fixed as explained in the linked thread.

2) The 2nd one seems to be caused by a corrupted Simconnect installer in your P3D installation. Since that file is supposed to be created by the P3D installer, it should be enough to reinstall P3D, maybe by removing its entire folder AFTER you ran the normal Uninstall procedure.

Hi
I just discovered that the error occurs when installing Flightsim Estonia (tool migration), this addon during installation also installs old SimConnect (all versions of SimConnect are installed by this addon), I guess this causes the error (Entry Point Not Found) because the error has returned, (I did a fresh install / windows 7 - P3D) I even uninstalled Flightsim Estonia and the problem persists, the only solution was to restore the system minutes until before installing Flightsim Estonia.
