Cargo Update?
« on: March 11, 2015, 08:50:03 pm »
Hello everyone,

So I keep hearing rumors of a cargo update in the works for GSX. Is this true and when can I expect it?

Yes, we are working on it. It will be an expansion for GSX, not an update to it, so it will be sold separately, and will require GSX to work. We still don't have a release date, but it will surely during this year.

Any further update on cargo add on?

It has been a bit on hold right now, because of the upcoming updates to GSX/Couatl, which has been very complex due to both SODE integration and many new features needed by KMEM, but it should hopefully continue after we release them.

We already made some changes in GSX that will appear in the next update, that are being in made in preparation for it. GSX ground operators are now divided between regular and cargo, and the cargo ones will appear only in cargo parkings (but not on regular parkings) and vice-versa with non-cargo operators.

This was made to prevent to see, for example, Delta operating at the KMEM cargo area, or Fedex on the passenger terminal. And it will work worldwide, provided (of course), cargo parkings will be labeled as such in the scenery AFCAD.

That is a great news. GSX is taking simulation to more realitistic level.

Thanks
