AI for 13R landing on water
« on: September 07, 2014, 12:09:59 am »
I just installed version 2 for FSX with the update to 2.1. I am using UT2. AI for 13R right land just south of the runway in the water. Is there a fix for this? I looked at the AFCAD and the ILS is in the correct position. Baffled by this one, I don't see it at other FSDT airports. It almost looks like they are making the Canarsie approach, but too early.

First, check if you don't have another AFCAD in conflict, by using the FSX Airport Scanner program.

Also, as you can see, JFK is supplied with TWO approach files (look under the fsdreamteam\KJFK\scenery folder ), one for the Canarsie approach and one for the ILS, the Canarsie one is installed by default, but this can be tricky to fly for AIs, depending on their flight model ( some of them can do it ), so you can try switching to the ILS file, and see if it works better.

Thanks Umberto, I will look at those files. I do not have any other AFCAD files there. I'll have a look at the Canarsie approach, with and without.
