Maybe you should report this to LM. I'll check it too, never used the Select Scenario page.

Well, you can find it here (they didn't respond yet despite being two days): http://www.prepar3d.com/forum-5/?mingleforumaction=viewtopic&t=8059.0#postid-43611
I am a bit confused, you said you didn't use the Select Scenario page yet? I thought you did.
Either way, I am starting to feel suspicious that the Select Scenario page at Startup is bugged if using AI Traffic and loading at complex addon airports like KJFKv2 or Trial UK2000 EGLLv3 (by that, I mean the AFCAD code being complex compared to the default). I don't get CTDs when I load in a different way (using Select Scenario (from the Sim and not the startup), using Select Airport in the Sim or fly to the actual airport) even if AI Traffic is on or not. I will look at your findings soon.

I tested out KJFKv2 with v2.4 with AI Traffic on and I didn't get a CTD (on startup Select Scenario). I think Lockheed Martin fixed the problem.

Sounds like it's time to toss the default AI and use something to resemble actual AI traffic.  ;)
