Title: Had to Manually add FSDT JFK FS2004
Post by: andrewvane on September 23, 2013, 02:54:08 pm
I installed everything property on my Windows 32 machine but nothing appeared to happen.  I didn't recall seeing this in the manual but I went into FS2004 and had to manually "add scenery" for it to show up.  Just wanted to share.

Great scenery by the way and a very worthwhile investment.  No stutters and the animations of the vehicles and airtrain look great!

The installer will surely add the scenery automatically on the scenery library.

However, if your scenery.cfg had a problem (like a syntax error or so), the installer won't touch it in order not to risk corrupting it even more, and also depending on some compatibility settings, it's possible your FS9 is not using the normal scenery.cfg.

These are some of the reasons why you had to add the scenery manually, but under normal conditions, the installer will do it automatically.
