Hi all,
Just bought and installed Geneva airport v1.5.1.0 and have found these apparent holes in the ground outside the terminal building which I assume should be houses. I have seen a similar post here about exactly the same thing but reading the thread it doesn't say how the problem was corrected.
I have attached a photo of the problem, just so you can see where I'm talking about.
Thanks for any help you can give.
Regards,
David Phillips.

I do see the same problem. Furthermore most taxiway signs seem to "float" and the high grass textures at the border of the grass areas are all visible twice slightly shifted in position.

Markus

I'm intending to buy the nice Geneva scenery for FSX. After reading the support forum and noticing there are a couple of unsolved problems (some threads don't even get an answer? E.g. http://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php?topic=8440.0 ) I thought it would be better to try the demo version first.
And indeed I have similar problems. The same buildings are missing like in the picture shown above. Now I tried every step I could find in the support forums:
-reinstall with AntiVirus off
-make exceptions in AntiVirus for bglmanx and couatl
-update the Addonmanager
But nothing helped, so I was wondering how this problem will be fixed? Is there going to be a fix or is this scenery too old and support is no longer provided? If so, will you provide access to an older version in which the problem did not yet exist? I'm looking forward to buying your scenery, but with those uncertainties I will wait for a statement about this issues to make sure I spend money on a full functional scenery. Thanks in advance!

A strange issue indeed. I'm waiting to get any reply from FSDT.
This problem didn't exist the last time I installed the scenery, so it must have been caused by some new versions of the files that get updated over time.
I say hold off purchasing this one until FSDT does fix the problem.
Oh and for the record, I don't even HAVE an anti virus software on my flying computer, so that can't be it!
Cheers,
Markus

The reply already arrived: you might have not noticed that Simbio it's an FSDT developer, and he's the author of the scenery, and he said he's going to check this.

Very good, thank you Umberto.

Can you make the last version available for the customers? As I've read here the last version did not have this problems, so as a very quick and temporary solution you could reverse the installer to the last version... Or simply give both download links. This would eliminate the waiting time for a fix.

There's no need to, the fixed file is already online. There's no need to download anything, just run again the 1.5 installer you already have, it will download the updated file automatically when installing.
-
Thanks for the quick fix, unfortunately it doesn't change anything. I downloaded the installer again, just to be sure, ran the setup and installed the scenery again. The error is still there, the buildings are missing. I'm talking about the trial version here, I didn't buy the scenery yet because of this.
-
Updated, even downloaded the latest installer, no change to the missing buildings.
-
I too after running the 1.5 installer, have the missing buildings still.
-
We are looking into it, the object is there, because you can see the trees (which are part of the same object), but the houses don't display for some reason.
-
Tried the latest files. The problems with the taxiway signs are solved. Buildings still missing...

Buildings still missing...
That's what I've said in my previous message. There's no reason for just the houses to be missing, because they are IN the object that contains the trees so, there might be something wrong with the model, we'll have to find what.
-
Live update this morning and the missing buildings have been constructed :)
-
What did you do exactly? I tried the following without succes:
-update addon manager within FS
-restart couatl
-close FS, redownload and install Geneva
-start FS
-close FS, uninstall everyting (scenery, virtuali addon manager)
-install Geneva
-install AddonManager
-update addon manager within FS
I use the trial version in P3D, but it seems this is/was a common error in both sims.
-
Well here's a conundrum, I thought I would grab a snapshot of the buildings in place but they have once again disappeared.
I should note that live-update has run again since the install where LSGG buildings appeared! and I had not checked since then :(
-
Hmmm, so the fix has already disappeared again? ??? That's strange indeed. Hope they'll fix the fix...
-
Any news? ???

I believe there are two confusing issues here. The ONLY item that is missing, are a few block houses outside the airport, which are supposed to be in the same area of some trees. None of the airport buildings was ever missing.
To the one that said the Live Update "fixed" this, he was probably referring to something else, and in his case it was fixed because he had something outdated.
There hasn't been any fix for missing houses outside the airport because, as I've said, we don't understand the cause so, there's no such thing as a "disappearing fix", because there wasn't any fix for the missing houses in the first place. We'll post it here as soon as we find a solution.
-
More than 1 month now. What's the reason you don't make the last version available where this issue was not present? That would provide a quick fix and then you have time to solve the problem.

The missing buildings previously seen have returned after the last coult update.
