Title: eSellerateEngine not found?
Post by: ifly_canadian on February 17, 2012, 05:55:13 am
Hello again,

first off, I want to thank you Umberto for the quick response to my last request regarding the broken link.

Another fork in the road for me while tyring to do some Hawaii Hopping out of Kona.

I pruchased the addon yesterday evening ofcourse. After what appears to be a successful installation (no errors or oddities), while registering the serial I was given within my Product email receipt, the software will not allow me to successfully register the product. (Usually I am given a product key and a message will appear indicating a successful registry.)

This time I get this message "eSellerateEngine not found."

I do hope the installer exe is not faulty. Although, I wouldn't know what else it could possibly be.

Thanks

Richard

The installer is surely not faulty, because it correctly puts the Esellerateengine.dll in the correct folder for your OS, which is C:\Windows if you run Windows XP, or C:\ProgramData\Esellerate if you run Vista or Windows 7.

However, on some systems, if you changed the default permissions or run in XP compatibility under Vista/Win7, it's possible the correct locations don't work anymore, in this case you can try the following:

- Be sure you don't run FS9 into "XP compatibility mode" under Vista/Win7

- Try running FS9 as Administrator, just to register

- If all fails, manually copy the C:\ProgramData\Esellerate\Esellerateengine.dll into the FS9 root folder.

Wow. Do I ever feel like a Moron, accusing FSDT in releasing a faulty product.

BTW, Love the scenery. If I even make the commitment into switching over to FSX, it's definately going to be because of you guys.

And lately, I have been hearing great things about GSX  :'(

Thanks AGAIN!!
