Title: No FSDT program group under the Start Menu in Windows...
Post by: WebMaximus on February 05, 2012, 12:34:26 pm
...is that how it's supposed to be?

Just noticed today when I was notified inside FSX there was an Addon Manager update and that I should quit FSX and update but when I went in looking under my Start Menu-All Programs I couldn't find anything related to FSDT!? Might add that I also have FSDT Geneva installed. I then decided to uninstall and reinstall both products (Geneva and GSX) but still nothing under the Start Menu.

Is something wrong at my end or is this how it's supposed to work with no FSDT program group under the Start Menu in Windows? I'm running Win7 x64 Ultimate.

Yes, that's normal, nothing is added on the Programs group.

Since the Uninstaller can ben accessed on the Windows Control Panel Add/Remove programs, and the manual has a button to open it in the Addon Manager, which also controls everything you might need to reactivate/reinstall, and we don't have any other external programs, there wasn't any need to add a section in the Programs group.

Ok, that makes sense - thanks for confirming.
