Title: Graphical anomaly on runway
Post by: tnorton776 on April 22, 2010, 01:54:04 pm
Its weird but I get runway lights that are different from the fsdt.  As you can see there are excess white lights lined up beside the fstd lights... hm  its as if the stock fsx arent being overwritten or replaced  r something? any suggestions? reinstall maybe?

There's nothing wrong: this is how the scenery is made. The runway lights are standard FSX lights, which are needed for the distance, and the 3d lights are used for closing up.

Since it's not possible to switch off the default FSX lights when close so, they both show up.

Fully custom runway lights are quite heavy on performances, that's why we prefer a mixed approach like this.
