Title: Prepar3d v5.2 HF1 Issues (Multiple)
Post by: Handle on July 12, 2021, 11:43:17 am
Hi everyone.  I've noticed some new issues crop up at the Hawaiian Airports Vol 1/2 after updating to the most recent P3D version / hot-fix.

To make things clear, I did an uninstall of both Hawaiian airport volumes, did a clean install of P3D's default scenery, started the sim on default scenery and did not have the stuttering issue listed below.  I installed both Volumes, ran the updater and had the same issue as before.

First thing I noticed was the absence of runway markings (other than the RWY number markings).

Second thing I noticed was the intense drop in frames in the immediate area surrounding the airport.  First of the 2 is default AC directly over the field.  GPU Usage was at ~30%.  Second of the two is ~5 NM West of the field.  Frames dropped dramatically to 15-25 with GPU usage being at 99%.

Thirdly, I noticed a matte effect on the ground immediately west of the field.

Please clarify, for each screenshot and/or problem report, which airport you are referring to.

Sorry, I noticed it firstly happening at PHOG, but also tested and got the same result (stuttering / low performance notably) at PHTO.  All of the screenshots are from PHOG.

I mapped out where the stuttering occurs.  I can do the same for PHTO if need be.

Quick update:
I completely reinstalled everything from ground up and it seems to have fixed all the issues I was having.  Not sure what the root cause ever was, but I will reply again if I have any further issues.
