Title: KORD V2 Installer Error
Post by: simflyer on March 02, 2021, 07:17:26 pm
I am trying to update KORD V2 by running the installer again. Unfortunately the installer stalls and gives the attached error.

Be sure you turn off your firewall while installing. And, you don't have the run the installer again to update the scenery, if it's already installed, it's enough to run the FSDT Live Update.

The LiveUpdate asks to run the full installer to update KORD V2.

Unfortunately, turned off AV, Firewall didn't help: still same error

Are you located in a country with a limited/censored internet ? If yes, you might require a VPN to install.

I am having the same problem after doing a clean reinstall of windows. Everything else installs ok except for FSDT products. Can't get past the error on anything.
Completely uninstalled my AV.

I checked the KORD V2 installer just now, and it downloads all parts just fine, and very fast so, if it's not downloading on your system, it can only be caused by:

- Your firewall blocking the connection. Turn off your firewall

- Your antivirus blocking the download. Turn off the antivirus during the installation.

- Your ISP blocking the connection. Use a VPN

Ok, thanks. I had turned off my firewall, totally uninstalled my AV. I live in the U.S. and using Spectrum for my ISP. I have a NORDVPN account, just hadn't installed yet. Everything worked fine.

The error for me came from the firewall. I used the AV option to turn-it off. I was wrong: it was still running in the background. Went through a search of Windows security options to completely shut it off and this time it was off for good.
