Since a few days now, if I want to start a flight in KJFK, I cannot use GSX.
When I start GSX, I am stuck in a loop that asks me to select a gate. I cannot get
out of this loop.
Can anybody help me?
The problem exists with all airplanes. Other FSDT Sceneries seem not to be affected.
FSDT updates are made, all programs are up to date.
-
Your message is not very clear, please clearly indicate what do you mean with "loop". I tried it right now, and it works normally.
-
when I open GSX it asks me to select a parking facility.
After I've done that and open GSX, it just asks the same question.
-
After I've done that and open GSX, it just asks the same question.
Again, is not very clear what you did.
After you select a parking, you are presented with a menu with 3 options, activate the parking, activate the parking with a follow me or just Warp to the parking. Which option you selected ?
-
My options are different:
Request follow me
1) yes
2) no
3) just warp me there
since I am already parked at the gate I selected "Just warp me there" (also my engines are not running and the doors are open)
So I end up at the gate I was b4.
If I then open GSX-menu the same thing happens just like groundhog day.

My options are different:
Your options are the same as I've said: 3 options.
since I am already parked at the gate I selected "Just warp me there" (also my engines are not running and the doors are open)
Now it's clear what your problem is, and it's an AFCAD conflict caused by another scenery. When you are parked, you are NOT supposed to see the gate selection menu, you are supposed to see the GSX service menu.
If you see the gate selection menu, it's because GSX thinks you are still outside the parking, because it's reading data from the AFCAD of another conflicting scenery.
If you open the "customize airport positions" menu from the GSX main menu, the parking customization dialog will tell you the name of the AFCAD used by GSX, which will give you some idea of which scenery is conflicting.
-
Plus, when I try to edit the parking facility, I get strange results.
I align my plane perfectly but then when I I "apply" it looks like this.
-
...Well, if I read that right, it's your own scenery.
But I could be totally wrong.
Can you help me anyway?
De- and reinstall?
-
Remove your own customization file, in the %APPDATA% folder, and use the one the scenery comes with.
-
could you pls provide me with a more specific path?
in my %appdata% folders I don't find "Fsdreamdeam" or something
like that
Thank you very much
-
could you pls provide me with a more specific path?
The screenshot you posted provided the full path of your customization file, where it says "User customization file in:"
-
merci!
-
excuse my stupid questions:
Where do I find the generic *ini file?
I just have the installer as an *exe file
-
Where do I find the generic *ini file?
There's no such thing as a "generic" .INI file. When a scenery is not customized, there's no .INI at all.
KFJK, instead, comes with its own SPECIFIC .INI file, which is made by us, and of course is installed by the installer in the Fsdreamteam\KFJK\Scenery, and the screenshot you posted confirmed it's where it's supposed to be, since there's a ling saying "Designer Provided data", meaning it has found the FSDT .INI file.
-
excuse me, that is chinese for me.
Could you pls tell me what to do?
De- and reinstall?
I deleted the foulty *ini file
If I have to replace it, how do I get the specific .ini file to
replace the other one with?
I am sorry, but i am lost.
-
I'll repeat it again, try to remove your own customization file, in the %APPDATA% folder, and use the one the scenery comes with.
Your screenshot shows the actual location and its name, after it says "User customization file in:".
-
Well, I did delete my customization file.
Evidently, that does the trick.
I did not get that part. I had understood, that I have to
replace my file with something else, which I could not find.
Forgive my lack of sophistication and thank you for
your support.
