Title: Ground Textures Black
Post by: asmiffy79 on March 19, 2019, 02:43:27 pm
Hi, since installing CYVR I've had black ground textures throughout the airport scenery.
I disabled Anti Virus when installing and have allowed the files as noted in another post on here.
I've reinstalled the software and addon manager but to no avail, it still looks like the attached picture.

Out of interest if I restart Couatl, the ground textures reappear (albeit blurry), and all the buildings disappear, for around 5 seconds before reverting to black textures again.

Try to reinstall the scenery, and choose the 3-seasons option, to be sure all textures are installed.

I have also noticed that GSX crashes everytime I try to use it at CYVR!

I'm sorry, but I cannot reproduce the problem. Try a full uninstall, this way:

- Uninstall every FSDT product you have, both sceneries and GSX. Reply YES to the question "Do you want to remove the Addon Manager" ?

- Remove these folders:

%APPDATA%\Virtuali
%PROGRAMDATA%\Virtuali

- Reinstall all the FSDT products, including GSX, which is required by basically all our sceneries, and be sure you only use the latest installers on our site, not some older download you might have downloaded in the past.

Hi,

I've done exactly as you said and the problem still exists!
Any other ideas?

Hi, I had this problem too when I test it in P3D after installation. Then I discovered that it was caused by the REX Environment Force, I did not have REX running when I was testing it, then after I run REX and start P3D again, everything is normal. So if you are using REX Envrionment Force, give it a try and hope this can help you.
