Hello to all,
For the KFLL launch, we'll have the following promotions:
Buy KFLL and get another FSDT product (except KLAS) at 30% discount.
To enable this promotion, use the CPN5187046295 - Use the Coupon code when buying the other scenery, not KFLL. You don't have to purchase the other scenery together with KFLL. You have time until July 15 to do so. The offer is valid for XPOI as well, not just the airport sceneries. KLAS is excluded from this promotion.
If you already bought KORD, KFJK, LSGG and KLAS, you can buy KFLL at 20% discount.
To enable this promotion, use the CPN0456163010 - Use the Coupon code when buying KFLL. IMPORTANT - The sytem will recognize your past purchases by looking at the email you'll insert to buy KFLL so, if you changed email in the meantime, the Coupon will be refused. In this case, PLEASE, contact us to update your records for past orders with the new email BEFORE purchasing KFLL! It's a lot of work to fix this after you purchased KFLL so, no refunds will be given in this case.
Coupon usage alert
The "Coupon ID" field will NOT stay if you go back or forward during the purchasing process. This can happen if you change the billing currency, for example. If you go back/forward you HAVE to re-insert the Coupon code, otherwise no discount will be applied.
BEFORE confirming the order, you will see a final page with the final price, allowing to check if the Coupon has been accepted. PLEASE, verify it has been accepted BEFORE confirming the order. There will be no refunds if you fail to check this.
Both promotion will last only until July 15 so, be quick to take advantadge of them!

As you can see, KFLL release is imminent, a couple of hours at the most from now.
About the promotion for existing customers: we excluded Zurich from the requirements so, people that got it for free with the old promotion we had, would not be cut off from this offer, because the system doesn't count a free purchase as a proper one. So, to get KFLL at 20% discount, you only need to have KORD, KJFK, LSGG and KLAS.

Bummer!! I bought all the other sceneries at full price, with the exception of KLAS, and now I cannot get KFLL with the promotion because I do not have KLAS. >:(

If if you buy KLAS between now and July 15, you can still get KFLL discounted, until July 15

I got KLAS at a discount; so, does that still count as a purchase in your list for a KFLL discount? I own/purchased all the others at full price. Either way, do let me know.

BTW: you'll now be hounded by everyone in the "NEXT Scenery" forum for their airport of choice after all their KFLL FS9 AFCAD issues are resolved. :P ::)

I'm sorry, but we didn't had any other choice that to exclude Zurich from the requirements, because several people got it for free, so they couldn't get into this promotion if we included it.
However, if we included Zurich instead, you would still miss KORD so, it doesn't really change much: if you want to get KFLL at discount, you need to buy KORD.
We can't fully control the discount system, because it's designed by Esellerate so, allowing something like "discount scenery x if you bought *any* other 4 sceneries", it's just not possible.

Apparently, Esellerate didn't catch that part. I put in the code and it deducted $6 from the listed price, but when I hit submit, I was charged the full $33! Having purchased all 4 sceneries required, I'm a little bit miffed right now. :(

Ok this also happend to me too. Only I bought and paid for every scenery FSDT has made.
I put the code in, was told I would get $7 CDN rebate, but after the deal went through I got no discount and was chared $37 instead of $30......

I'm sorry, but that's just not possible. The only possible explanation, is that you initially saw the $6 discount on the page that allow you to insert the Coupon, but you changed something in the order, like changing the billing currency, or you went back/forward between the pages or, there was a connection problem, so you made another try and (as was explained in the first post) any of this makes the Coupon ID field to be emptied.
There is a valid reason for this: Coupons are one-use only. Once used, you can't use them anymore so, the system is protecting you from inserting a Coupon by mistake and have it "burned", that's why it empties itself if anything has changed in the order page.
However you will see a final confirmation page *before* the order is really sent, and that one will repeat the total amount again, so you have a chance to go back, and reinsert the Coupon.
People are buying with the Coupons right now, so we know for sure the systems works.
Your order just arrived without any Coupon inserted, that's the only thing we can see. Maybe, you can try contacting Esellerate support at support@esellerate.net, they might have better informations of WHY your Coupon hasn't been transmitted.

I think the promotion description is quite clear on that: you need to have KORD, KJFK, LSGG and KLAS.
However, it might be better in your case, to purchase KFLL, and then get LSGG at 30% discount on it, then to purchase LSGG to get a 20% on KFLL

I seen the discount but after hit the final sale button I was not discounted.

Sorry but, as I've said, that's just not possible.
It only happened once a few months ago, with a customer that had his connection dropped in the middle of the transaction, so he tried again without checking the final confirmation page again, and he didn't noticed the coupon that was missing.
As I've said, you should really contact Esellerate support at support@esellerate.net, giving your order number, they might be able to explain what's happened.

Umberto I know what I seen. I would not have confirmed the order. It is not my first time ordering on line. If I go back and forth or not, if the price tag before confirming the order says I'm getting a discount I should get one.

As I've said, there might have been a very uncommon case were, if the internet connection dropped or timed-out during the transaction, and if there was some kind of screen or button that asked to retry, in this case only, the transaction would have been repeated without giving you the chance to go back and fix the Coupon, that was emptied anyway. Please note, this happened only once since we are using Esellerate.

I haven't. Not having noticed the correct amount in the final page, doesn't obviously mean you are blind, and much less "stupid".
And don't get upset so easily: if Esellerate confirms there was a problem like that, and you really haven't got a chance to notice the correct amount and fix the Coupon, we can give you a full refund, so you can purchase it another time with the discount, or give you another Coupon for something else.
The system works, otherwise people wouldn't be able to purchase with the discount (and we are getting many orders with the discount applied), we are not trying to trick you into purchasing with a discount that doesn't exists.

I think it's better to not offer any discount then to offer it and have so many issues and loyal customers get left out... What does it matter which airport? It should be a case by case biases and not a one size fits all because, I will most likely buy the next upcoming scenery and may not qualify again...

I for one appreciate the promotions being offered and am continually amazed by the things people see fit to complain about. If you qualify, then great! If not, then either buy the product or don't. They have all been worth full price in my opinion and getting worked up over 6-10 dollars is a waste of energy.

Let's get the facts straight: we have only TWO customers that are saying the Coupon was accepted, and being charged in full, which we ARE investigating with Esellerate if it really was a technical problem, or it was just user error.
OF COURSE, users that are not having problems, are obviously not posting anything, but we are getting a lot of orders with the Coupon. Meaning, many people ARE taking advantadge of an offer.

You got it wrong: there are two exceptions, which obviously make sense:
- In the Coupon that allows you to purchase KFLL at discount if you have 4 FSDT sceneries, we excluded Zurich, because there are people that got it for free with a previous promotion and THEY complained, when we released KLAS, they were cut off from that promotion, since Esellerate doesn't count a free purchase as a proper order for future discounts. So, the promotion is exactly the same, you still need to have 4 sceneries, just Zurich is excluded. I repeat it again: we have to work within what the Essellerate system allows, and there's no way to just say "any 4 sceneries", we have to specifiy specific products so, there wasn't any other way to do this.
- In the Coupon that allows to purchase another product if you purchase KFLL, we just decided to exclude KLAS, for the very simple reason that it's just too new to be discounted yet. Loyal customers that bought KLAS the last month, might rightly complain, if we discounted it already.
It should be a case by case biases and not a one size fits all
Doing it on a case by case basis would be an enormous amount of work, we should put a person full time for the whole month of the duration of the promotion, because he'd would have to individually check every order, every past purchase, eventually fixing emails, then creating personalized Coupons for every customer. We'd rather not doing any promotion because, obviously, the added amount of work needed to handle this, would more than likely eat up entirely any supposed increase of sales due to the promotion itself.

I too think it is great to offer discounts to loyal customers. When in fact you do not have to offer a discount at all.

I have every scenery except O'hare and Kennedy, but I am not in the least disappointed that I don't qualify for a discount because the product IMHO is worth every penny. Besides the fact the discount only amounts to $10 or less. For that amount I wouldn't even bother sending an email if it wasn't working correctly.

I was replying to an user that already had all the sceneries except KLAS so, if he buys it before July 15, he'll be able to fullfill the requirements for the KFLL discount promotion.

So if you're over billed on something in a store that was supposed to be on sale you don't say anything? I would love to have that kind of money.....
I know it is only $7 and not the end of the world. But it is called principals....
I am also aware of the fact that FSDT does not have to offer any kind of discount. Come to think of it I do not know any other developer that does....KUDOS to FSDT.
FSDT run a class operation here, do not think I'm bashing them because E-Seller had a problem or I went insane ;)

No discount, all latest 4 sceneries are required to get the discount.
However, if you are interested in LSGG, it might be cheaper to buy KFLL at normal price, to get LSGG at 30% off, than to buy LSGG at normal price, to get KFLL at 20% off.

I would appreciate if someone can back to me, I tried to purchase the FLL and I already purchase ORD JFK LAS GVA ZRH When I typed the coupon "CPN0456163010" says that the coupon is not acceptable or invalid, could you please be so kind and let me know if the coupon is still valid or if maybe I am doing something wrong?

We'll probably have other promotions in the future. However, as with any promotion, we'll never announce when they'll happen and what they will cover. The whole point of a promotion, is to be unexpected.
