Title: Flytampa Amsterdam Jetway replace GSX Level 2
Post by: j0rpool25 on September 10, 2018, 06:44:10 pm
Hi there,

For a few days, i have bin working on the Flytampa Amsterdam.
I have finish the B and D pier. also some gates at G-pier.
Tomorrow i will fix the C pier.
Later this week i will try to finish the E-pier.

Here i have some pictures. When its all finish. I will share the files.

B-Pier
(http://i67.tinypic.com/143q0jl.jpg)

D-pier
(http://i65.tinypic.com/2cshva0.jpg)

In the Flytampa version, you see 1 jetways at this side of the D-pier. In reallife, there are 4 gates with double jetways for wide body's. So i fixed that.

G-pier
flytampa made G4 with single jetway. In reallife it have a double jetway, so i fixed it
(http://i64.tinypic.com/2u7t6xx.jpg)

Its a lot of work to do, but i like to do it.

Hi,
I have a problem : I only have jetways on G pier.
Any solution?

Thank's
Yves

Edit : I found the solutions :
- you use east afcad, so I modified this in the configurator
- As my addon mamanger is not in c:, I had to modify the directory.
Now it works

Thank's
Yves

I put the XML file in the folder.
Title: Re: Flytampa Amsterdam Jetway replace GSX Level 2

A clarification:

If you share just the .BGL without the .XML, it will be removed by the Control Panel, because it's considered to be orphaned. This is normal, to prevent the exclude folder to become a mess very quickly.

So, if you want to share the exclude file, you should provide also the XML that will stay in the Exclude folder, one level above the scenery folder that contains the .BGL. However, you don't have to do that, since the parking customization can recreate the XML automatically from the .INI file.

This can be done by opening the parking customization for that airport, and deselect/select any one parking that had the Exclude checkmark set. You can do it by changing anything else, but this is the easiest one and the easiest to remember. This will trigger the parking editor to create the Exclude XML, which can be then compiled into a .BGL.

So if I unerstand this correct, yoiu just share the bgl file, and not the xml, since this last one you can recreate it by loading the shared bgl, and the ini file, and then, activate and deactivate one of the exclusions for p3d to create an exclusiion. Thus, wouldn't it be easiera to have the 3 files and not need to do anything? (.ini, .bgl, and .xml)? (provided of course that the receipient of the shared file has the exact same scenery and editing the path of such in the .ini file. is this correct Umberto?

try reloadiing the Coautl in the addon menu. i used to have that problem a lot. it was all solved by totally uninstalling gsx and reinstalling. When I purchased it, insted of doing that, i did the upgrade to level 2. Big mistake.

Be also aware that the afcad used is the east one. So change first in FT configurator, then copy the afcad.

If you look in the zip file, you will see that the afcad is the east acad. So you need to activate the east afcad throu FT configurator, rename in any name (.old for exemple), then copy the file ADEX_FLYTAMPA_EHAM_2016_EAST.bgl  ain yous ../amstrrdam/scanery folder., and then it will work.

Yes, to use a non-FSDT airport, you must own both GSX and the Level 2 expansion.

Have you followed the video tutorial posted at the top of the GSX support section ?

It's made precisely at FlyTampa EHAM. Basically, you must start by excluding an existing jetway first, exit the sim, compile the exclude file with the GSX Control Panel, restart the sim, and the original jetway will disappear.

IF you downloaded a pre-made customization file, it's enough entering the customization page, and change anything (clicking twice on any one Exclude checkmark), will be enough to have the exclude XML source file to be recreated from the exclude areas in the .INI file you downloaded, so you can compile it.

You need to use 7z1604-x64 (7-Zip) if your platform is windows 64-bits.... google on that. Winrar will not extract such file but 7-Zip

You already did what you need to do: just hit Compile. Assuming, of course, it created the exclude file with no errors.

Hi:

I'm having issues as some gates are missing at some parking position, help please.

-I have downloaded the 4 files posted above.
-I have installed the files in GSX as stated in the text doc.
-I have run the compile check in GSX control panel.
-I have run the restarted and run the airport catch in Couatl in the sim.
-GSX is mapping to the right correct location.

Thanks.

That's a stupid place to upload files. In the middle of the thread is a better link.

Be sure to follow instruction. You need GSX and GSX2 to use these files.
