Title: The runway numbers will soon change.
Post by: DreamSkywards on September 01, 2018, 02:55:11 pm
Hi,

Just a quick topic letting you know that this month, the main, asphalt runway numbers will change.
05 - 23 will become 04 - 22.

Also, the grass runway on the north is no longer in use.

All the signaletics will take 3 nights to change. We are actually on the 2nd night now.

Likely, if the update of LSGG is still in the pipeline.

Quite a few things that could use an update.

That red tower, for one example, has been torn down and replaced by that one on the right 8 years ago already.

The day every airport scenery is released it's already super out of date, it's just the nature of airports.

We can't expect everything to be up to date at this exact time, yep. I know they (FSDT) are working on an update though, so it was just an example of one thing that would need updating. (In this case the red tower removed altogether and replaced by the white one.)

But I trust FSDT to create something as faithfully as possible. I would be willing to pay for an updated Geneva.

You're right, but the new alignment of the runways must be changed every 3 to 5 years, average.

And so, I think, it should be possible to change the numbers of the runway signs by a little update, isn't it?  ;)
